who we are

GARIBURG originates from the conflux of the Orange and Vaal rivers, which stretches nine thousand kilometres through into the Atlantic Ocean and is derived from the Khoi tribe, a tribe as old as and dating as far back as two hundred millennia. GARIBURG simply means “a land of great rivers". Our wine grapes are rooted in the original soils and purest climate of the Northern Cape region.

At GARIBURG, every bottle is a celebration of heritage, crafted with unwavering pride in our origins. Nestled in the heart of Northern Cape’s most fertile wine-producing region, Gariburg draws from a rich tapestry of terroir, tradition, and time-honored techniques passed down through generations. Our vineyards thrive under the perfect balance of sun, soil, and climate—elements we respect and nurture to produce grapes of exceptional character and depth.
